Weyermann abbey malt is a highly friable (easily crumbled) base malt that results in a pronounced maltiness in the following beer styles traditional abbey ale, Trappist ale, Belgian specialties, Belgian blonde, Belgian bruin (Brown), “fest” beers, Belgian Amber, Belgian ale, faro, fruit beers. Use up to 50 percent of the total malt content of a recipe.
